Agni

When Agni was a child he lived like everyone ells but suddenly he got very ill and was dependet on help. He went to school for 8 years but had to stop because the place was not suitable for people with a disability. Agni was suffering a lot from the disease that changed his life dramatically from one day to the other
He had to stay at home for a long time until one day a villager offered some help and brought Agni to a Social Service Center in Kathmandu. He was treated at the hospital and got a little bit better. After his improvement Agni decided to become a Christian and got baptized. He did some social work in the church for about seven years and he is really thankful for that time, as the church gave him a new home. Until today he is really active in church and supports other people with a disability in the area by visiting them to pray, because they are not able to go to church. Agni is married to Dolma and they have got one daughter. Together with his family he lives in the Possible Life Center and every day he tries really hard to improve their situation.
Agni is now 32 years old and he dreams of having enough space for all the disabled people, so nobody needs to suffer anymore. He would also like to establish a church in the Possible Life Center so that all the people have the possibility to come there every Saturday and worship together
Dolma

Dolma is 36 years old and she was born in a small village on a hill near to the Mount Everest. When she was born she was not able to straighten her legs, so during all her childhood she could only crawl. Whit the age of four she knew that she would probably never be able to walk. She did not go to school because she would have had to cross the mountain to get there, which was of course not possible as there were no roads and the way was far too long for her.
She had to stay in the house until she was 21 years old and she did all the work in the household. Dolma suffered a lot during those years, so it was a big relief when one day her relatives brought her to the airport, carrying her on the back. She flew to Kathmandu and was treated in the hospital. Today she is able to walk with a walking aid.
In the hospital a Christian organisation collected videos and pictures from her childhood and created a video clip to show foreign organisations how people are suffering in Nepal. The organisation got many donors but Dolma never got a part of the money. They used her for their own benefit. She was only allowed to live with the organisation but the living conditions were very bad.
Dolma met Agni in church and together they finally left the organisation behind them and invented the Possible Life Center. They have got one daughter and Dolma wants her to have a better life, perhaps as a doctor or a pilot, hence she should have the best possible education.

worked on the fields all day long. Algi was alone at home and nobody could take
care of him, but he could not to anything on his own during that stadium of the

the village. Algi wanted to learn how to read and write, he just wanted to live
like all the other kids in his age. Luckily he got the chance to visit a school in
a more developed area. He also learned English and is really good at it.
During school education Algi also met Raghunath, who is now also living in the

was not able to walk such long distances every day.

of his family suffer from the same disease. He was able to walk with a walking aid
but after a wrong treatment in hospital over 6 months it got worse and he could
only walk very slow. Raghunath met Algi in school and they became friends.
Together they also moved to Bhaktapur to look for a place to live. But the
district is very crowded and so he had many problems, especially with things
like crossing the street. Because he could only move very slow, the cars were
hooting a lot and Raghanut could not deal with this stressful situation. He
fell down on the street several times and living in Bhaktapur was really hard
for him.
Now he sits in a wheel chair and living in the Possible Life Center gave him
the opportunity to live a normal life away from the overwhelming cities.
His dream is to get in contact with other disabled people, to help them solving
their problems and making it possible to live a better life.

She met her future husband Gorak and for a long time they were looking for a place to stay until they were able to live with the Nepalese organization ‘Shanti Sewa’. Through church they got to know Agni, Rhagunath and the others and together they realized their dream of the ‘Possible Life Center’.
As Durga was not able to finish school, she hopes that her son will be able to graduate to get a high level of education and later on a good job and a better life.
