Maybe you are the person we are looking for!
2019
In May a girl from Germany paid us a visit. Leonie is 19 years old and she came to Nepal as a volunteer teaching English. She spent two weeks with us and we explained her everything about our project. We showed her the work we have done so far and how to make jewellery with recycled paper. We also introduced her to our sewing machines and Leonie helped us with our work. We talked in English all the time, which was a great opportunity for us to improve our language skills but we also trained her to speak a bit Nepali. We talked about many different topics and explained each other how life is like in our home country and there was also always room for discussions and questions. It was a great cultural exchange and we could learn a lot from each other.
She also helped us create our own website. We made interviews, took pictures, talked about what is important for us and what we hoped our website would be like. So that from now on we are present on the internet and you can always be up to date. It is also a great opportunity for us to show others what we have achieved so far and who we are looking for because we depend on help and new ideas to make sure that our project moves on, so that life will always be possible!

2018
In 2018 we got the chance to proof our skills when two guys from Japan decided to support us. They came to Kathmandu and visited the Possible Life Center. What they wanted to show us was a game called Boccia. The rules are simple: two teams are playing against each other. One after the other they try to throw six balls as close to a small white ball on the court as possible. The team with the closest ball next to the white ball gets the points.
But the visit was not only about explaining the game to us and playing with us. They also taught us how to make the boccia balls. They brought the material with them and trained us how to deal with it and in the end we produced 390 balls, which the people from Japan bought from us for a fair price. It was a great experience and we were really happy to learn something new and got another job. We were also able to pay other employees who were looking for a job, so we could help them to earn money for surviving. It was a great experience and we had lots of fun but it was also an important and essential opportunity to us that helped us surviving.
So, maybe you are the person we are looking for! If you want to support us, we are very willing to work and learn new things and methods. You are very welcome in our home and we would love to cook for you and introduce you to our Nepalese culture.
‘Please teach us new things, please give us a chance to work. We want to improve our skills and we want to work with you!’
